Words cannot express how impressed I am with this African net sponge. I have heard great things for a long time and I am so glad I finally tried it. It comes as a two pack, which is great for value for money, and I was able to gift one to my niece, who is equally impressed. The texture provides incredibly thorough exfoliation without feeling harsh. It easily reaches every nook and cranny, makes cleaning your own back effortless, and even works well between toes. The length is perfect for full body use and hard to reach areas. It rinses clean, has no noticeable smell, and dries quickly, which feels much more hygienic than traditional loofahs. This exfoliation power is unlike anything I have used before. Now that I’ve tried it (and threw out my loofah and exfoliating gloves as soon as I got out of the shower!) I can honestly say that I’m never going back! Highly recommend!! It’s also worth mentioning that I frequently deal with shoulder dislocations, and the length and flexibility of this sponge allow me to use it without straining my shoulder at all, which is a (huge!) plus!!!

I bought this month's ago and I am shocked to see it still in my needs review category. I was blown away the first time I used it ! Ive always exfoliated but I had never seen or heard of these until scrolling amazon one day. The list of things I love about this is incredibly long. 1 no more handled loofah for my back. This rinses out easily, dries quickly, & exfoliated better than I could have imagined. Unlike what I had used before to replace the back loofah, this doesnt hurt / feel scratchy. The knots definitely have a texture when rubbing, but not hard or painful like alternative products. I love it so much I took my second one on vacation with me to Florida. I wasnt about to be using hotel wash cloths or throw away loofahs after getting a refreshing exfoliation every single day lol I showered at about 9pm the night before we flew back home - and by the time it was time to pack up for the flight back it was completely dry. Dont sleep on these. Im not sure if they are truly authentic as this is the first ive ever used - but if it isn't it's an incredible quality inauthentic one.

I will never, ever go back to a wimpy, disgusting loofah. Enter the African net sponge. These are washable, reusable, and last a really long time. They lather up beautifully and can easily be used to scrub *everything*, including your back, in between your toes, and all up in your business. The texture of these is such that it will exfoliate, but not scrape up and damage your skin. It's very satisfying to lather one up and scrub scrub scrub; your skin comes out so soft! Despite showering daily and having "good" hygiene, I have spent my whole life suffering from acne, itching, redness, dryness, eczema, and chronic skin problems. Like many women, I've blamed all of those issues on being allergic to soap and sensitive to fragrance, when the truth is this. I wasn't exfoliating properly, I wasn't moisturizing properly, and ultimately, I wasn't getting clean. Since I started using an African net sponge, all of those problems have gone away. I lather up with a good quality moisturizing body wash (usually Dove) and scrub everything. Then I will either use a sugar scrub OR do a second scrub using the net sponge with a smell-good body wash (my current favorite is from Trader Joes). Double cleansing + exfoliation, followed up with instant moisture (lotion or body oil WHILE You are still wet) is a game changer. I would be remiss not to mention that I learned about this from Black women! They know what's up! Do not mistake this for a loofah or other type of fabric scrub. You want the real deal. Loofahs harbor bacteria (because they never dry out), and knockoffs don't have the same properties when it comes to exfoliation. African Net Sponges have large loops, are very long and stretchy, fully dry between uses, and can go in the washing machine.

First time using an african net sponge and I’m never going back to loofas! I don’t have a problem reaching my back or anything. But for those that do struggle to reach places, these will definitely help! I do however have some physical / medical disabilities that make it a struggle to shower. So the length of time and energy I use affects me greatly. And these sponges are incredibly beneficial! They allow me to wash quicker, and not spend a long amount of time trying to rinse it clean (like loofas which seem to just continuously squeeze out more soap no matter how long I try to get it rinsed clean. Saving water in the long run as well). Plus these are far more hygienic as they dry quickly and easily. And aren’t staying wet like the inside of loofas. They do have bounce to them. And didn’t smell when first opened. I did give it a quick wash prior to using the first time. Which I wash everything when I first get it. I personally have pretty thin, fragile skin so I was a little hesitant that these would be too rough. But as long as I don’t scrub hard (which isn’t needed, they lather up and clean your body easily), they haven’t caused skin abrasions. (Been using for almost a month at this time.) They have a little loop on each end for you to hang them up by. I like to hand one end on the hook in my shower, and the other end on a little notch on my shower head, making like a hammock so as it’s not constantly hanging straight down simply because I don’t know if it would stretch it out over time. Gave one to my mom so she could try them as well. She too likes them more than loofas. Overall, I’m super happy with my purchase and will definitely buy again. They make great gifts to others and to yourself. I think whether one has physical limitations or not, these are the absolute best washing option. They leave you feeling clean and not constantly having to replace loofas from coming unraveled or possibly growing bacteria on the inside. They’re machine washable but they’re quick and easy to just hand wash as well. Absolutely love these! Thank you so much.

This net sponge is a great tool to use when lathering product in the shower. It exfoliates gently, so it won't give you that deep cleanse that some prefer. However, it seems safe for sensitive skin when used appropriately, and the material isn't too abrasive. I found that it doesn't fold too easily when trying to clean the back but otherwise can be held easily for all other easier-to-reach areas.

They provide a variable level of exfoliation based on how much pressure you use, so it's perfect for people with more sensitive skin or those of us who like a deeper level of exfoliation. I hang them to dry in the shower and they're dry within a few hours, and don't hold a mildewy smell the way washrags do. They're long, and the stretch makes it even easier to be able to use these for your back, even if you are a larger person. 10/10.
