awesome way to solve exposed external drive heating up.
I have a large number if external hard drives, many of which are in exposed multi-drive bays. some of these drive in the 8tb &12tb sizes tend to get hot during extended uses when monitoring with CrystalDiskInfo. these cables make it so that I can run 120mm fans on the side of the bays and reduce temps to well within safe operating range. I use three double-bay and a four-bay device.

Great for AVR cooling fans
If you have an older AVR with a USB plug, these are great for adding a couple silent pressure fans to keep the heat down.

Barely any power
Can only supply enough power to wiggle the fans let alone spin them. And its not my old case fans. I have another similar case fan usb adapters and it's able to power these 140mm fans no problem; they simply don't have the on and off switches. It's clear that these cheap ones are poorly build. Even with a little push, the case fans loses most of its spin within a few seconds

Ich kann den 4-Pin-Adapter nur empfehlen. Es kommen wie beschrieben 2 stück an. Ich hatte ihn mir gekauft, da ich meinen Router im Schrank verstecken wollte. Da dieser ohnehin warm wird, musste ich mir überlegen, wie ich ihn einfach kühlen kann. 1x 140-mm-Lüfter, dieser Adapter und ein USB-A-Ladeadapter, und siehe da, es funktioniert einwandfrei. Bedenkt aber, dass es nicht möglich ist, mit diesem Kabel die Drehzahl des Lüfters zu regeln, da er nur einen Ein-/Ausschalter hat. Die Drehzahl ist für meine Zwecke ausreichend (geschätzt 400–600 U/min). Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
