Massage is one of the most effective ways of promoting good health and it's been the case for as long as man has walked the Earth. Join Victoria Sprigg CIBTAC, MISPA LLHHT as she demonstrates the methods she uses while explaining the basic scientific principles behind many of the techniques. Review: Brilliant! - This is fantastic for those studying Swedish Body massage. It is clear and concise unlike other DVD's where the person doing the massage spends too much time talking and gets in the way of the movements so that you cant see them. This is a must buy for those interested and I think Victoria Sprigg was very professional and softly spoken. People like Victoria continue to give a good name to this industry. Keep up the good work! Janet, Essex Review: Excellent content and pretty complete! - 'Swedish Massage' goes through a full body massage with close-up footage of technique and running commentary. I found the explanations sufficient to expose the principles behind the techniques without going into excessive detail. There is minimal editing of shots so you don't lose your point of reference and can concentrate on the massage without being too conscious of what the camera is trying to accomplish. Along the way Victoria also points out potential pitfalls in technique which I certainly wouldn't have guessed were they not mentioned. Only reason it didn't get the full 5 stars was because there were a few moments when I couldn't quite see what she was doing with her whole hand: difficult to show when massaging someone's wrist with boths hands, but lacking nonetheless. I don't see myself needing to buy any other material on the subject.

great
Laura ashley 90s decor but excellent demonstration of a professional full body swedish massage. Explanations and instructions for techniques are given throughout. Better than other massage dvds i've seen. Would recommend.

Not for Body Massage students
I bought this DVD to help me with my Body massage course at college. Don't buy it if you are on a course. She doesn't reference muscle names and only mentions certain types of massage. Just don't buy it if on a course it won't help you at all.

Not for beginners
As someone just getting into massage, i found this video particularly hard to follow. Not that techniques shown were difficult to perform, just the video itself was a quick run through. After each section, i would have expected a quick recap of what it has just taken the viewer through. Instead, it was one long clip. I even attempted to make notes, only to find that when i'd actually written the notes, i had missed a couple of sections, and found myself rewinding and pausing at the end of each section. Even at the end there was no recap so the viewer fails to take in a lot of what they have actually seen.

So relaxing
I have this in video format and almost wore it out as I played it so often. I appreciate that other viewers may be looking for more technical advice, I just love watching it because it is so relaxing, almost as good as actually having a massage - Victoria has a lovely soothing voice! She has just released a new DVD, which I hope will be just as good.
