Vlog Camera Cage for Sony RX100 VI and RX100 VII Camera (Fits DSC-RX100 M6 and DSC-RX100 M7 Camera) with Wooden Handle Grip Vlogger Youtuber – CCS2434

This camera cage was extremely practical. It is made with great quality, the metal cage really makes me feel secure with it holding my camera. The grip is great for using this camera as its traditional point and shoot, but I purchased it because I wanted to vlog with this camera. It had 2 different mounts for receivers or other clip on devices, and many different holes to screw other accessories on. I was able to screw my tripod onto the cage, and I still had 3 other holes where I could attach a shotgun mic or even a ring light. I had access to all of the cameras functionalities, but depending on where you put your clip accessories, or if you are using both clip attachments, it can be hard to change from different modes like Manual, Auto, video, portrait etc. Other than that, this cage is phenomenal AND fits in my camera pouch!!!

Only down side is this. Price! Double competitors prices. BUT worth it. Ergonomics are nailed perfectly here. Larger wooden handle that's rounded for perfect grip. Excellent frame placement for easy shutter pressing and easy finger access. Uurig messed it up badly and I had returned that one. Also love the fact that this has multiple holes on bottom for dripping tripod mount or adapter further from door for easy battery swapping.

Fit is neat and perfect on my Sony RX100 VII

This cage fits the Sony RX100VII perfectly. It doesn’t obstruct the bottom speaker, and you can access the battery and SD card compartment without needing to remove the cage. Everything remains fully accessible while mounted, including the pop-up flash and electronic viewfinder. The only minor drawback is that it slightly obscures the top half of the P-A-S-M mode dial, but it’s still usable and doesn’t affect functionality. The included wooden side handle not only looks great but also adds a much-needed grip to this compact camera. it's removable if you prefer a sleeker profile. Overall, this is a well-designed and good-looking cage that enhances both handling and usability without getting in the way. Highly recommended for any RX100 VII owner looking to upgrade their setup.

I am so happy I got this for my RX100V7! Fit is perfect and solid. I was concerned about restricted control access from some of the reviews I read here but can say that in my case no restrictions were observed. I did add a stick-on shutter button which fits perfectly. I also wasn't sure if I would like a wood grip, but it feels great/secure in my hand and I have warmed up to it. SmallRig makes all top-shelf stuff and this cage is no exception to that. It does add some heft and size but makes up for it in strides in functionality and security.
