Do the threads come with any thread locker or anything? The oem one in my vyper looks like it came with stripped threads and some kind of epoxy in it.

You must have a bad 3D Printer Hotend. I would get it replaced.

Which version fits the kobra max? also: does the connector fit?

The Vyper one fits the Max. I purchased one just in case and had to replace the original in my Max tonight and everything seems to be working fine.
